The Once Upon an Island Charitable Trust
The Once Upon an Island Charitable Trust was registered in 2009. As an entity it has operated in the Waiheke Island community since 2004. The Trust’s primary focus is the development and exploration of human potential through the mediums of storytelling and story making. This has been achieved through storytelling festivals, the Story Centre, workshops, events and programmes primarily within the Waiheke Island community but occasionally nationally and abroad.
The Trust regularly collaborates with other community groups and artists to create experiences that build community and deepen our appreciation and responsibility as kaitiaki for the motu we live on.
