“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together … all things connect.” —Chief Seattle

You are invited to join gardener, arts educator and storyteller Tanya Batt for the winter residential course focused on nature based learning through the arts at the Awaawaroa Bay Eco Village on Waiheke.
For thousands of years human understanding, decision making and celebrations have centred around the seasons and their teachings. From observation of and reverence for these natural cycles, wisdom has been distilled. During these series of educational weekend retreats, participants will have the opportunity to explore through the mediums of music, dance, story-telling and art, seasonal traditions (both European and Maori) and consider how these might be shared with our tamariki, their whanau and our communities in our re-imagining of our place on this earth.
